USB Modem with my Blackjack II from AT&T

Got a new Blackjack II (SGH-i67) from AT&T for work. Figured it was also time to sort out the tethering that could be done with it.

So...I have an HP 8510P laptop, and realized after some research that the only way I am going to get this thing to tether is with the USB cable. That is a bummer, but the way things are. The following information is critical to the process.

  • phone number:*99#
  • username:WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
  • password:CINGULAR1

The other part is getting the modem driver to load in Vista. I seriously just stuck the CD in, connected the phone (set USB mode to Modem on the phone itself) and when prompted, pointed to the disk drive and let the process search for the driver. Next, I created a new DUN and entered the information above. There is a decent thread over at the Cingular Forums that discusses the topic at length. Varying experiences.

    Good luck
